I am late in getting this post out and the ZIA is finally finished. I wanted to be sure to post even though the Diva has moved onto another challenge.
The Calgary and Southern Alberta floods were devastating. I helped in the community of Bowness and many families have lost so much. Entire basements stripped, the contents, drywall, furnaces, what ever is in your basement, gone., piled in the streets to be taken to the dump. Many upper floors are ok but a few houses right along the river will have to be torn down.
The impressive thing was the support of Calgarians. Possessions have been lost while friends have been made. The circle of support grew daily. It was amazing to see people walking into the community to help while I was walking out. After a long day at their regular jobs they came to help.
This ZIA represents the growing support of family, friends and strangers to help during this crisis. It just seemed to get bigger and bigger.
